Final ALIVE Project Event & 2nd Living Lab Demonstration
The ALIVE project successfully held its final dissemination event, combined with the 2nd Living Lab activity, bringing together project partners, researchers and various stakeholders to present the main outcomes and results of the project. The event also included a live demonstration of the technologies developed throughout the project.
During the event, the ALIVE value chain was presented in practice: from the treatment of nitrogen-rich agro-livestock waste through anaerobic digestion, to nutrient recovery from digestate and the development of biofertiliser and biostimulant products for agricultural use.
Participants had the opportunity to follow the key stages of the ALIVE methodology, including:
- pilot-scale anaerobic digestion and biogas production,
- digestate treatment and nutrient recovery,
- membrane-based separation processes,
- microalgae cultivation and biomass valorisation,
- preparation and application of the produced formulations,
- evaluation of the products in plant growth trials.
The activity also served as a platform for discussion on the market potential of the ALIVE solutions, their contribution to circular bioeconomy, and the role of industrial symbiosis in strengthening the anaerobic digestion value chain.
By combining the final project event with a live technology demonstration, ALIVE supported the transfer of research results to potential end-users, companies, agricultural stakeholders and the wider innovation ecosystem.
The project demonstrates how agro-livestock waste can be transformed into renewable energy, recovered nutrients and new value-added products for sustainable agriculture.
