Microorganisms
General description
Microorganisms are widely used in the biodegradation of various types of waste. They are distinguished in different categories depending on the strains they contain. They are available in solid and liquid form. The combination of microorganisms is consisted of bacteria, enzymes and trace elements that can function both in aerobic and anaerobic conditions.
Suggested Uses
- Biodegradation of fats in waste water treatment, in wells and pump stations.
- Biodegradation of organic substances contained in hotel wastes and food industries such as proteins, carbohydrates, fat, starches, celluloses and others.
- Biodegradation of the organic waste water and reduction of the biological sludge.
- Biodegradation of the olive mill wastewater, whey, paper waste and canning waste.
- Reduction of the COD.
- Odor control.
Application
The products of microorganisms are harmless to human health as they contain no pathogenic microorganisms, and they are not toxic and corrosive. It is recommended the usage of gloves and hand washing after each application. The dosage varies by product and by type of waste. Depending on the problem, is proposed a different way of applying these products without the need of additional equipment.
