Activated Carbon
General description
The activated carbon is a carbonaceous material characterized by a well-developed pore structure and a very large inner surface. These characteristics provide the active carbon with a strong adsorption capacity. Available in powder, granule form and as pellets.
Suggested Uses
- Retention of the organic load (COD), the residual chlorine, the odorous compounds.
- Drinking water treatment.
- Wastewater treatment.
- Sanitary landfill leachate treatment facilities.
- Water treatment from Ground remediation.
- Water dechlorination.
Application
The most common way of applying activated carbon is that of the fixed bed, or other forms of filter, through which the fluid is leaked in order to be treated.
Packaging
The material is available in paper bags of 20-25kg and in large bags of 500Kg.
