Waste Treatment

General description

They are liquid formulas which are designed to clean and disinfect surfaces, spaces and tools.

Suggested Uses

  • Cleaning and disinfection of waste collection bins.
  • Disinfection of drinking water.
  • Disinfection of private and public spaces.
  • Disinfection of food areas.
  • Treatment of sewage and waste water, such as urban waste water.
  • Disinfection of public and private swimming pools.

Application

Disinfectants are simple to use and do not differ from common cleaners. They are first sprayed onto the surface to be cleaned and then wiped with a mop and a bucket or with a cloth and a bucket, depending on the case.

General description

They are advanced powdered materials with high absorption capacity (activated carbon, bentonite, zeolite, polymers). These materials are capable of absorbing multiple quantities, compared with their weight, of a great number of organic substances (Oils, Fuels, etc.) that must be bound and removed. They are insoluble in water, a feature that means they are fully functional in aqueous systems as well. These materials are safe for the user and no dust is observed during their use.

Suggested Uses

  • Retention and easy removal of organic compounds, such as oils and fuels, in industrial, road and aquatic spills.
  • Use in both ground and water systems.
  • Cleaning storage containers.

Application

In cases of leakage, it is proposed to drop the absorbent material around the organic substance and then onto it. Removing it can be done by using a shovel and a broom. To clean storage containers, pour a layer of absorbent material into the bottom of the container and remove it manually.

Packaging

Available in plastic buckets of 13Kg. Upon order, they can also be available in larger or smaller packages.

General description

They are available in liquid and solid products as well as products used in vaporization devices (gel). Deodorants are consisted of mixtures of organic substances which do not overlap the unpleasant odors but neutralize them. They act effectively against a wide range of substances that cause unpleasant odors such as sulfur-based (hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans, etc.) and ammonia. Products are not dangerous for the human health and the environment.

Suggested Uses

  • In liquid and solid waste treatment plants (eg papermaking, brewing).
  • In biological sludge treatment.
  • In garbage collection and disposal areas.
  • In rubbish bins and in public markets.
  • In composting plants.
  • In sanitary areas (toilets).
  • In pump stations and installations for treatment of liquid and solid waste.
  • In sewage drains and in sewage sludge.

Application

It is recommended high pressure spray in order to efficiently handle the unpleasant odors. ENVICHEM uses automated high-pressure atomization equipment for the best use of the product through its better dispersal, reducing operating costs and human resources. There are also products that are added to polyelectrolyte solutions in order to deodorize the dehydrated activated sludge.

General description

The activated carbon is a carbonaceous material characterized by a well-developed pore structure and a very large inner surface. These characteristics provide the active carbon with a strong adsorption capacity. Available in powder, granule form and as pellets.

Suggested Uses

  • Retention of the organic load (COD), the residual chlorine, the odorous compounds.
  • Drinking water treatment.
  • Wastewater treatment.
  • Sanitary landfill leachate treatment facilities.
  • Water treatment from Ground remediation.
  • Water dechlorination.

Application

The most common way of applying activated carbon is that of the fixed bed, or other forms of filter, through which the fluid is leaked in order to be treated.

Packaging

The material is available in paper bags of 20-25kg and in large bags of 500Kg.

General description

Available in silicone defoamers and in those based on fatty acid esters.

Suggested Uses

  • Treatment and reduction of foaming in wastewater treatment plants using physicochemical and biological methods.
  • Water treatment in a variety of industries such as chemical industries, papermaking and tanneries.
  • Some of the products are suitable for food treatment.

Application

Depending on the system conditions (pH, Temperature), a different dosage of the defoamer is proposed in order to solve the problem. They can be used directly or after some preparation (dissolusion) before they are provided to the aqueous system.

Packaging

Defoamers are available in varying quantities and packages according to the customer’s needs.

General description

Available in acids and bases. They vary in both type of chemical compound and weight content in the original solution. The caustic soda is available in concentrations of 25, 33, 50% and the hydrochloric acid in concentrations of 31-33%.

Suggested Uses

  • As a pH regulator in liquid systems.
  • As an acidity regulator in food.

Application

It is necessary to use personal protective equipment throughout their use to avoid burns, swallowing, difficulty in breathing and eye contact.

General description

Microorganisms are widely used in the biodegradation of various types of waste. They are distinguished in different categories depending on the strains they contain. They are available in solid and liquid form. The combination of microorganisms is consisted of bacteria, enzymes and trace elements that can function both in aerobic and anaerobic conditions.

Suggested Uses

  • Biodegradation of fats in waste water treatment, in wells and pump stations.
  • Biodegradation of organic substances contained in hotel wastes and food industries such as proteins, carbohydrates, fat, starches, celluloses and others.
  • Biodegradation of the organic waste water and reduction of the biological sludge.
  • Biodegradation of the olive mill wastewater, whey, paper waste and canning waste.
  • Reduction of the COD.
  • Odor control.

Application

The products of microorganisms are harmless to human health as they contain no pathogenic microorganisms, and they are not toxic and corrosive. It is recommended the usage of gloves and hand washing after each application. The dosage varies by product and by type of waste. Depending on the problem, is proposed a different way of applying these products without the need of additional equipment.

General description

Available in iron and aluminum based inorganic flocculants (PAC 18, Aluminum Sulphate, Iron Chloride, Iron Sulphate) and organic flocculants (DADMAC, Amines, Degradants). They are characterized by low molecular weight and high cationic load.

Suggested Uses

  • Treatment of the industrial waste water, water for industrial use, urban waste water and drinking water, aiming the destabilization of colloidal systems and the formation of flocs in order to succeed the sedimentation or flotation and final removal of the suspended solids. This is applicable in food, chemical, dyeing, paper and refinery industries.
  • Reduction of COD and turbidity.
  • Removal of phosphates and sulfur compounds.
  • Sludge condensation treatment for the better dehydration treatment.
  • Paper and paper pulp production.
  • Waste water discoloration.

Application

The application and dosage of the solution of flocculants depend on the characteristics and the type of water waste system where it will be applied. Depending on the type of flocculant and the characteristics of the process, a different process of preparation of the flocculant solution is proposed in order to optimize the performance of the system.

Packaging

The majority of products are available in packages of 25 kg, 50 kg, 150 kg, 220 kg, 1000Kg.

General description

  • Dehydration of sludge.
  • Thickening of sludge.

Application

The application and dosage depend on the characteristics and the type of the wastewater system, where the polyelectrolyte solution will be applied. The aqueous solution should be prepared by the slow, gradual addition of the polyelectrolyte to a tank containing the required amount of water while stirring continuously.

Packaging

Available in plastic bags of 25kg and plastic packages of 25lt, 200lt and 1000lt.
